Losing my sanity

Good morning folks, apparently I got quite a bit side-tracked from my #journeytofreedom and let the cares of this world deter me from my purpose.

I got caught up in Trumpism, the Mueller Investigation, Lies, Russia, Racism, Police Brutality Against Black Folk, Injustices in the Government, Rand, Giuliani, Pirro and yes even #FakeNews.  I was researching other stories that would show every supporter in a negative light (hmmm who was I following for – surely not God]  I got physically tired and overwhelmed with responding verbally to every #Tweet and #FacebookPost…. until I had a [moment of clarity] and realized I was fighting a #battle that was not mine – if I believe in the messages from God in that #Book.

I decided to unplug for a day of rest and feed myself with positive and uplifting messages – soon, the clarity returned.  So I’m here to testify that it only takes one day in some situations for God to move and turn-it-around!! I’m determined more than ever to stay on track.

How did you get off track and how did you return to #sanity?

#Veteran Friendly

As a former Marine I’m taking the opportunity to let folk know if an establishment is Veteran friendly or not.  If you know of a business this is Veteran friendly or is not let me know and I will add it to my list (currently in review) for distribution.

For Example

Veteran Friendly – For example Howard K. Hill Funeral Services provides  Veterans Services

Non-Friendly Veteran The Residences on Bedford does not accept applications from women Veterans that have been homeless.

President Trump selects Jake Leinenkugel to lead VA commission focused on Veterans’ mental health treatment

[Well that nice but did you know – In cases where a person has a genetic predisposition to alcohol, underlying emotional or psychological issues can easily become a driving force behind excess alcohol consumption. While drinkers may not start out with a full-blown psychological disorder, alcohol’s effects on the brain can cause psychological dysfunction to develop. Unfortunately, mental illness caused by alcohol abuse is a common occurrence. According to the Medical University of South Carolina, nearly 40 percent of alcoholics suffer from one or more psychological disorders.]

Today the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced that President Donald J. Trump has selected former VA White House Senior Advisor Thomas “Jake” Leinenkugel to lead a key commission focused on the department’s mental health care programs.

“Jake is a veteran; two of his children are veterans. He certainly knows first hand the challenges and opportunities men and women who leave the military face,” Dick Leinenkugel said Monday. “This will allow him to impact the policies that will impact veterans.”

“Jake has been an ambassador for change at VA, working to implement President Trump’s policies throughout the department over the past year and a half,” said Acting VA Secretary Peter O’Rourke. “As leader of this important new commission, Jake will continue to advocate for better care and services for his fellow Veterans.”

At VA, Leinenkugel has been instrumental in the creation of the department’s “ChooseVA” branding campaign and the implementation of November’s National Veterans and Military Families Month. He has also worked to promote VA’s efforts to reduce Veteran suicides.

Lastly – Leinenkugel’s #brewery in Chippewa Falls was built over natural springs in 1867 but now uses about 70 million gallons of water a year from the city. In the past eight years, the brewery has spent more than $12 million on improvements that, said Jake Leinenkugel, the brewery’s president. The company is also donating $500,000 to help preserve wetlands in Chippewa County.

That’s right the man overseeing the Mental Health of #Veterans owns a brewery!

Politics

TO #WOULD OR WOULD NOT

Fake News that fabricate information that mimics true and fair news media content in form but not in organizational process or intent. Fake-news outlets, in turn, lack the news media’s editorial norms and processes for ensuring the accuracy and credibility of information. Fake news overlaps with other information disorders, such as misinformation (false or misleading information) and disinformation (false information that is purposely spread to deceive people). Much like Fox News swings every story in favor of the Republican Party. I just watch a clip of Laura Ingram spin the story of Trump’s read response to his chosen verbiage during the Putin Meeting as “…we all make mistake – look at what Obama did. It’s as she and other refuse to look at the body language of both Trump and Putin during the conversation regarding interferences with the 2016 election. What you don’t see is a report being ejected from the press conference.

Trump backtracked and tried to spin his Hel-sinking comments by claiming he misspoke; Trump tweeted that his meeting with Putin was “even better” than his meeting with NATO allies; Later that day one of  Trump’s wives tweeted:

Important research outlining the need to create enhanced employment opportunities for Americans of all ages and at all stages in their careers through skills training and vocational education.

I was thinking we have been doing this for decades – you might know some of the terms i.e. School, Teachers, Vocational School, College, Higher Learning and OJT.

Obama called these “strange and uncertain” times; the Treasury will no longer require nonprofits like the NRA to identify their financial donors to the IRS; and Mueller requested immunity for five potential witnesses in Paul Manafort’s trial.

We can debate about how and why Trump made it the Presidency – so what do we do now. We pray – stop getting so angry that all we can focus on are the crazy tweets between Trump and his wife Melania (I personally  got caught up yesterday in all the #impeachtrump hoopla and could stop posting ImpeachTrump post and the phone and email list of all the senators – I lost my focus on all that is really important – for that I apologize to God myself and my readers) – take care of our families – humble ourselves and let God heal our land…

Tips to Cleaning your #Handbags

6 Tips to Cleaning your Handbags  Just like jewelries, handbags are women’s best friends – it is just impossible to live without it! Whether you are just grocery shopping or having a business meeting, it just makes our lives simpler and easier.

However, along with the desire to collect a variety of handbags for different occasions is the demand to handle all of them with care. Good thing, handbags are designed to last for many years. Nevertheless, it is still imperative for every woman out there to know how to do it. Here are some tips from experts:

Throw away trash every so often

In order to maintain the looks and quality of your handbag, the first step would be to throw away unnecessary things that have been in your bag for quite some time already.

Throwing them away would make your handbags clean from the inside out and make organizing easier as well. It gives more room for your other important stuffs. Some of the things you need to throw regularly are expired tickets and coupons, wrappers, snacks, and piece of paper no longer use.

Use a damp soft white cloth

A lot of experts would agree to this, that by removing dirt or dust off of your handbag, you simply need to wipe it with a damp soft white cloth. It is the kind of maintenance that’s easy for anyone to do.

You don’t need to use expensive tools and products or hire an expert to do this for you – which would cost a lot of money by the way – because you can do it on your own. You just have to make sure to use the damp cloth properly.

What’s in the care label?

To make things a lot easier for you, check the care label first and follow the instructions given. This would ensure that proper maintenance will be delivered regularly.

Always remember that there are different ways to clean handbags depending on the materials they are made of. For example, real leather has specific cleaning instructions that are different from artificial leather.

Depending on the type of handbag you possess, you need to know in the care label the specific instructions for cleaning them. Following the instructions will help you save the quality of your handbag so that it can remain to be of good use for a long time.

Don’t lay them on the floor

Although most handbags are durable, they can easily wear and tear, especially when you don’t place them properly. In your closet, make sure to have a shelf for your handbags where you can line all of them upright. To keep them upright, stuff a tissue or any soft material inside.

Always treat your handbags like your babies. Prepare a good storage place for them and structure them in a way that’s clean and neat. Proper storage results to proper maintenance.

Know what right products to use

Depending on the kind of bag you have (genuine leather or vegan), the cleaners and polishing materials to use for removing scuffs and for keeping them shiny can vary. Make sure to consult a professional shoe maker or visit a handbag department first.

If you don’t know what products to use or if you don’t know how to use them, educate yourself first. Don’t dive into the situation right away without full knowledge on what to do. For sure, you can find a lot of different products available for handbag cleaning, but not all of them may be right for your handbag. To keep the products from destroying the quality of your handbag, make sure that their ingredients are safe to use.

Spray only

When using cleaning products remember to not apply them directly on your bags. Instead, spray it on a microfiber cloth first and then wipe. It is very easy to do. If it is your first time to do it, read the instructions and watch some demos.

Now that you know how to care for your handbags, it’ll now be easier for you to carry them around wherever you go. No longer will you have to worry about stains and dirt because now you are confident on how to remove them.

Always remember to protect your wonderful investment.

#History 1st #Marine Wins #Medal of #Honor

On this day in 1965 Viet Cong ambushed Company A of the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, led by U.S.M.C. Lt. Frank Reasoner of Kellogg, Idaho. The Marines had been on a sweep of a suspected Viet Cong area to deter any enemy activity aimed at the nearby airbase at Da Nang.

Reasoner and the five-man point team he was accompanying were cut off from the main body of the company. He ordered his men to lay down a base of fire and then, repeatedly exposing himself to enemy fire, killed two Viet Cong, single-handedly wiped out an enemy machine gun emplacement, and raced through enemy fire to rescue his injured radio operator. Trying to rally his men, Reasoner was hit by enemy machine gun fire and was killed instantly. For this action, Reasoner was nominated for America’s highest award for valor. When Navy Secretary Paul H. Nitze presented the Medal of Honor to Reasoner’s widow and son in ceremonies at the Pentagon on January 31, 1967, he spoke of Reasoner’s willingness to die for his men: “Lieutenant Reasoner’s complete disregard for his own welfare will long serve as an inspiring example to others.” Lieutenant Reasoner was the first Marine to receive the Medal of Honor for action in Vietnam.
